Grove Street is a quiet one way street, tucked discreetly away in the west end of Edinburgh. Here you can choose from 1 or 2 bedroom, modern, serviced apartments, each one offering you your own city pad.
The open plan lounge has twin sofas, and a generous dining area. The fully fitted kitchen is ideal for preparing your own meals - or dishing up that tasty takeaway - and comes complete with the all-important dishwasher. The two bedroom apartments have a choice of configurations: double/twin, twin/twin or double/single. The one bedroom is nice and simple: it has a double. In the lounge, our cable TV and CD player will keep your eyes and ears happy for days.
Room information
Each of our apartments has a lounge with dining area, a modern, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and bathroom with bath & shower. The lounge/dining area has comfortable sofas, cable tv (including news, sports & movie channels) & a direct dial phone. Everything from bed linen & towels to wine glasses and a hairdryer is provided, and housekeeping will refresh the apartment daily. Although the apartments are self catering, an initial starter pack of oven fresh bakers loaf, preserves, butter, breakfast cereals, fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits is provided on arrival.
Travel information
By Car
From the Airport:
- Take the A8 from Edinburgh Airport through Corstorphine to Haymarket.
- Stay in the outside lane and follow the signs for the EICC.
- Carry straight on through the traffic lights at the top of Dewar Place into Gardners Crescent. At the roundabout turn right and then first right into Grove Street.
- Fountain Court is located some 100 yards down on the right-hand side. Car access is 100 yards past the main office.
From the A702 (south):
- Follow the A702 through Morningside and onto Bruntsfield Place that in turn leads onto Leven Street and Home Street.
- Gilmore Place will be on your left-hand side. Take the second turning past Gilmore Place on the left marked Thornybauk (just after the Royal Bank of Scotland).
- Follow the road for 200 yards, until you get to a set of traffic lights, then get in the left-hand lane.
- Turn left onto Fountain Bridge for 100 yards.
- At the roundabout, go straight over. The next turning on the right is Grove Street.
- Fountain Court is located some 100 yards down on the right-hand side. This is a one-way street; take your time. If you miss us you will be back on the one way system. The car access is 100 yards past the main office.
By Bus
There is an Edinburgh Airport/city centre bus service to Edinburgh every 10 minutes between 07:00 and 21:40 Monday to Friday, and 10:10 and 17:30 at weekends. Single GBP 3; open return GBP 5.
Important information
Continuous construction work shall take place at 115-121 Grove Street until December 2008.
From 1st March 2008 parking shall now cost GBP 6 per day. Due to construction work next to our Grove Street apartments, parking is now limited and is based on a first come first served basis. Parking cannot be reserved. A NCP car park is situated nearby in Morrison Street and costs GBP 8 for 8-24hours.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: 100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.
Internet: Wireless internet is available in the Fountain Court Grove rooms and is free of charge.
Meal Plan: This Fountain Court Grove has no meal services.
Parking: Private parking is possible on site (reservation is not possible) and costs GBP 6.00 per day.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
The Fountain Court Grove reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
