Green Arches is a small, but friendly bed and breakfast, conveniently located within a 5-minute walk of the town centre and on the edge of Ninesprings and Yeovil Country Park.
Ideally suited for both business and leisure guests, we offer modern accommodation with a touch of luxury and a personal service which ensures a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for those visiting Yeovil. We pride ourselves on the hearty and traditional full English breakfast we serve which is, where possible, either organic or free range in origin.

We are conscious of the current and future environmental issues that are likely to affect us all, so during our refurbishment, we have attempted to reduce our carbon emissions to do our bit.
Green Arches benefits from 40 solar evacuated tubes (20 tubes south facing and 20 tubes west facing), which is estimated to provide all our and guests’ hot water needs for 6 months of the year and up to 30% of our hot water during the winter.
We also have solar tiles installed (south facing), which generate up to 1.5 Kw of electricity. In practice this has equated to over 1,100 KWh (units on the meter) in the past 12 months. The surplus of our usage has been fed directly back to the national grid.
We use a 6,000 litre water storage tank (installed underneath our garage) in which we collect rainwater from our roof (over 100 m² coverage), which is then recycled and used for our washing machine and to flush all of the toilets. We make full use of the local recycling services and facilities.
We have calculated that we produce approximately 3 to 4 tonnes of CO2 per year (based on full guest occupancy of Green Arches), compared to the average of 10 tonnes per year for 2 people in the UK. All in all, we believe we are environmentally friendly.

Each room is double size and has a king-size bed with a Slumberland posture-sprung mattress, which will be freshly made with quality linen to provide both comfort and rest.
Equipped with a 20-inch LCD TV with Freeview, enabling you to fulfil both business needs and relaxation requirements. Also fitted with a full length mirrored wardrobe, not only providing plenty of storage space, but also allowing suits and/or dresses to hang unobstructed. An iron and ironing board, along with hairdryers, are also available on request.
Thermostatically controlled underfloor heating ensures warmth throughout each room and bathrooms, all equipped with a heated towel radiator, ensuring the luxury towels provided are warmed and ready for use.
In addition complimentary speciality teas, hot chocolate, luxury biscuits, bottles of still water and speciality chocolates.

Full English Breakfasts (including a vegetarian option) is available between 07:30 and 10:00, specific times by arrangement.

Yeovil is positioned on the Somerset/Dorset border and is surrounded by fantastic countryside including the Somerset Levels to the north and rolling hills of Dorset to the south. We are roughly equidistant between the Bristol Channel coastline and the English Channel as well as a midway point between London and west Cornwall.

Yeovil is served by a main bus station and is at the crossing point of 2 main railway lines/stations (Yeovil junction and Yeovil Pen Mill). We offer a complimentary pick up/drop off service to the bus station and both train stations (subject to availability).
The A30 motorway passes through Yeovil, whereas the main A303 skirts 5 miles north.
The nearest airport is Bristol International which is approximately 35 miles north.
