The Hotel Girasole Girasole is situated at the beginning of Sorrento. It is a family run structure of 39 rooms. In fact the first rooms of the Hotel Girasole were built in 1970 in the home of the Ruocco family. In recent years the building has grown and it has been enriched with new and modern facilities such as the swimming pool. The Hotel Girasole is approximately 800m from the centre and 500m from the beach, one can reach both the Sorrento and S.Agnello train stations easily on foot.

Our swimming pool is open from 01/05 to 31/10 and has the added luxury of a solarium where there are sun shade and deckchairs provided for your use and a gazebo where you can shade from the very hot summer sun. The pool bar offers a good selection of local dishes and sandwiches, cold drinks, ice cream and home made cakes. The many amenities include panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples and of Vesuvius, bar, heating, air conditioning and parking place.
Our guests can also admire our collection of Sorrento inlaid woodworks designed by craftsmen of the 1800. On request in the surrounding area of the Hotel Girasole one can visit a typical orange and lemon grove of Sorrento.

The nearest airport to Sorrento, only 50 km far, is Capodichino. The most comfortable way to get the from the airport and the cheapest as well, if available at your arrival time, is bus service by Curreri. The bus is just outside the arrival gate and for less than 6 euro takes you straight to Piazza Tasso, the main square of Sorrento(1km far from the hotel). Different solutions may be taxi or transfer services(the have this service from 75 euro).
How to get there by train:
the train station Napoli Centrale Piazza Garibaldi is linked to Sorrento by the Circumvesuviana local trains. The price of the ticket is about 3,20 Euro. The journey from Naples takes about one hour.The closest station is Sant'Agnello.If you have heavy luggage it's better to take a cab or a bus(line A)to get the hotel.
How to get there by Car:
Any direction you are coming from take the highway to Naples. Follow the A3 to the Sorrentine Peninsula and take the Castellamare di Stabia exit. From Castellamare drive along the main road for about 23 km. You pass through the villages of Vico Equense, Sant'agnello as far as Sorrento, the last village you find. The state road in the most touristic period, from June to September, can be stucked with traffic and sometimes it takes more than one hour to drive the 23 km from Castellamare to Sorrento.
How to get there by Sea:
If you are in the town centre of Naples it can be very comfortable to reach Sorrento by sea. There are different hydrofoils and ferries linking Naples to Sorrento.The journey is more comfortable than the train one even if more expensive (about the double). We suggest you to get to the by the shuttle buses you find in the little square(line C).
