The town, with its wealth of archaeological finds from its ancient Etruscan and then Roman past, lies in the luxuriant hills which dominate Florence, one of Italian's most important cities for art and “dolce vita”. Here, where time seems to stand still amongst the centuries-old cypress trees and ancient ruins, stands the marvellous Hotel Villa Aurora. Guest to have sojourned here include Queen Victoria of Britain, the Empress of India, the Queens of the Netherlands, King Leopold of Belgium and Queen Margherita of Savoy of the Kingdom of Italy, amongst others. There, you can find a lot of historical and artistic attractions like the archaeological park with Etruscan, Roman and Longobard ruins in 3 hectares of splendid landscape of Tuscan hills. B. Spence. It was once was a theatre entertaining the local British aristocracy built in the 1860 by Sir W. The breathtaking views enjoyed from the terraces of hotel Villa Aurora and which extend over Florence and the Arno valley inspired painters, poets and musicians including Gabriele D’Annunzio and Giosuè Carducci. At the end of 1800s, the theatre was transformed into a splendid villa where some of the most important figures of the European aristocracy of the time spent unforgettable days. .

From South: Firenze-South exit tollgate - Highway A1 in 20 minutes following the road signs for Stadium/Fiesole
From Siena : issued from Firenze-Siena Highway or from SS2 follow the road signs for Stadium/Fiesole or take the Highway A1 Roma way, exit to the successive Firenze-South tollgate and follow the road signs for Stadium/Fiesole
From North (Mugello,Bologna): from the SR 302 Faentina Street and from SR 67 Bolognese Street follow the road signs for Olmo and then for Fiesole
From Arezzo and Valdarno : SS 67 Aretina Street arrived to the gates of Florence follow the road signs for Fiesole

Firenze central railway station Santa Maria Novella (then see “By Bus”)
From Faentina Railway, station of Fiesole/Caldine, hamlet of Fiesole municipality, at 5 km from Firenze,

By Bus :
From Firenze main railway station Santa Maria Novella, bus number 7 takes about 30 minutes to reach the main square of Fiesole (Piazza Mino), frequencies every 20 minutes from 6.00 a.m. until midnight.

By Airplane :
Firenze Airport “Amerigo Vespucci”: the bus from airport, with the 66 frequencies a day link the airport to the city centre. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the bus station situated in front of the central railway station (S.M. Novella). Departures from airport: every 30 min from 6.00 am to 8.30 pm, after every hour till 11.30 pm Departures from city center: every 30 min from 5.30 am to 8.00 pm, after every hour till 11.00 pm. Tickets may be purchased on board (one-way ticket: 4 Euros).
