The Hotel Villa Aurora was built around a 19th century theatre-villa in historic centre and it offers 24 rooms and suites with a host of services including hydro-massage, and sauna on request. Cocktail service, small meeting and conference rooms, restaurant and bar with a breathtaking view of Florence are some of the services offered at villa aurora. Garden and private parking, efficient public transportation to downtown and the train station are other features of the hotel, also offering an external swimming pool at no extra costs.

The town, with its wealth of archaeological finds from its ancient Etruscan and then Roman past, lies in the luxuriant hills which dominate Florence, one of Italian's most important cities for art and “dolce vita”. There, you can find a lot of historical and artistic attractions like the archaeological park with Etruscan, Roman and Longobard ruins in 3 hectares of splendid landscape of Tuscan hills. Here you see its fascinating churches, like San Romolo Cathedral, with a characteristic middle age belfry tower that stands out in the main square dedicated to the local artist Mino da Fiesole, or the bishops and the municipal palace, evidences of an ancient splendour. Here, where time seems to stand still amongst the centuries-old cypress trees and ancient ruins, stands the marvellous Hotel Villa Aurora Villa Aurora. It was once was a theatre entertaining the local British aristocracy built in the 1860 by Sir W.B. Spence. At the end of 1800s, the theatre was transformed into a splendid villa where some of the most important figures of the European aristocracy of the time spent unforgettable days. Guest to have sojourned here include Queen Victoria of Britain, the Empress of India, the Queens of the Netherlands, King Leopold of Belgium and Queen Margherita of Savoy of the Kingdom of Italy, amongst others. The breathtaking views enjoyed from the terraces of Hotel Villa Aurora Villa Aurora and which extend over Florence and the Arno valley inspired painters, poets and musicians including Gabriele D’Annunzio and Giosuè Carducci. Still today, this prestigious past is alive, and although the Hotel Villa Aurora has been internally renovated and enhanced with every modern comfort, Hotel Villa Aurora Villa Aurora continues to offer its guests that same welcoming but refined atmosphere for which it became famous. Today in Villa Aurora there are 24 rooms, standard and royal or suites, these last with the most magnificent view over Florence. In addition to the listed amenities some rooms have a jacuzzi. The restaurant, furnished with a veranda and a wide summer terrace, a perfect place for a working lunch or banquet, offers elegant dining, with breathtaking views of Florence. Firenze Airport “Amerigo Vespucci”: the bus from airport, with the 66 frequencies a day link the airport to the city centre. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the bus station situated in front of the central railway station (S.M. Novella). Departures from airport: every 30 min from 6.00 am to 8.30 pm, after every hour till 11.30 pm Departures from city center: every 30 min from 5.30 am to 8.00 pm, after every hour till 11.00 pm. Tickets may be purchased on board (one-way ticket: 4 Euros).
