This historic building, named Lostel a le Lune for the first time in 1302, was hired by the city of Bruges to welcome princesses and ambassadors, notables and magistrates during the many feasts and ceremonies in the market square.

The historic centre of Bruges became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. As such, cultural interest is found throughout the city, especially due it's vast amount of original gothic architecture.
