Travel information
To get to the from Barcelona’s airport (El Prat), you have various options:
- By train: There is a direct train every 30 minutes from Terminal A to the city centre and it takes about 20 minutes. The nearest station is Plaze Cataluña.
- By bus: A1, also known as the Aerobus, connects the airport to the city centre. It runs every 15 minutes and it takes about 35 minutes. The nearest stop is Plaza Universidad.
- By taxi: There are plenty of taxis in Barcelona (yellow and black). It takes between 35 and 30 minutes to get to the and costs approximately 30 €.
If you come from Gerona-Costa Brava airport:
-By bus: there is a bus from the airport to Estación del Norte in Barcelona. From there you can get a taxi or the L1 metro to Plaza Universidad.
The closest underground stops are Plaza Universidad (L1: Red line and L6: Purple Line) and Plaza Cataluña (L1: Red Line and L3: Green Line)
